Monumento y Mirador del Pípila

Alhóndiga de Granaditas

The Alhóndiga de Granaditas was the pride of the Spanish Mayor Juan Antonio de Riaño. This work laid its first stone on January 1, 1798 and was completed in 1808. It represented the end of famines in Guanajuato: its large galleries and bays would store the necessary grains and provisions.
